Art as a source of inspiration

I've come to realize that art has been my source of happiness for as long as I can remember. Seeing it, creating it, remembering it...just last week I uncovered a cache of paintings I had long forgotten. All my hopes and dreams flowed from the tips of those paintbrushes long ago...I remember painting those tall majestic trees, the graceful butterflies, the dancing bunnies.

Guess what? Those paintings foretold my future. I had no idea. I've lived here at "A Beautiful Day Gardens" for six years now. And it wasn't until I unveiled those lost works that I realized I had painted it nearly thirty years ago. That's when the trees were first planted, but not by me. I simply planted "the seeds of my dreams." And, of course, the bunnies and butterflies showed up much more recently.

I remember hearing the phrase: "Does art imitate life or does life imitate art?" and I wondered what the answer was. I'm still wondering.

Do you suppose it's actually possible to create your reality by painting it?
